Cross Compliance workshop at AMA with the Romanian Paying Agency

Five rural development experts from the Romanian Paying Agency APIA visited AMA in Vienna to exchange expertise on Cross Compliance (CC) issues. AMA experts from different technical departments presented procedures and best practice examples in a two-day workshop.
During the workshop, the CC administration in Austria was explained and discussed in detail, along with the practical aspects of monitoring, evaluation, assessment and sanctioning, using the example of nitrate and I&R. Another important topic was the gathering and integration of administrative data from different Austrian institutions, since there are different institutions on regional and federal levels that are responsible for the different SMRs in Austria. The workshop was based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Directors General of AMA and APIA.
