Expert visit from the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF), Czech Republic, to share best practice on LEADER, December 11th and 12th, 2019

During a two-day study visit the AMA experts, Ms. Ruth Fischereder and Mr. Wolfgang Jakubec explained the role of the Paying Agency AMA in the light of LEADER projects. Their presentations focused on the functions, tasks and responsibilities of the institutions involved in the implementation process (Local Action Group, Paying Agency AMA, Beneficiary) as well as the specifications for the on-the-spot-control.
Ms. Christa Rockenbauer presented the main tasks of the Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism regarding the selection of Local Action Group (LAG) strategies and the financing as well as the coordination between the individual funds.

An on the spot visit was organised to show a best practice example. Ms. Gottwald, the manager from the LEADER region Weinviertel presented the project “KOST.bares Weinviertel”, a common initiative to promote and sell agricultural and handicraft products from this specific region.
