Official closure of the Serbian Twinning Project

Today, the official closing meeting of the Twinning project "Strengthening of the capacities of the Republic of Serbia for the absorption of EU Rural Development funds in pre-accession period” was held at the "Palace of Serbia" in Belgrade.
The ceremony was honoured with the presence of high representatives of the agricultural administration of Serbia, in particular the Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Mr Goran Knezevic.
The key players responsible for the project implementation pointed out in their speeches that this project significantly strengthened the agricultural administration of Serbia and brought it one step closer to the absorption of EU funds.
Nevertheless, one key element for the administration of EU funds, the accreditation of the IPA operational structure is not yet completed and remains as the next goal to be achieved.
